1月8日，国家主席习近平向2026年“中非人文交流年”开幕式致贺信。非洲多国人士表示，贺信彰显习近平主席对中非人文交流、文明互鉴的高度重视和坚定支持，令他们倍感振奋。非方愿同中方以“中非人文交流年”活动为契机，进一步加强各领域交流合作，让28亿多非中人民心相通、情共融、力同聚，为共筑新时代全天候非中命运共同体注入持久动力。

当地时间8日下午，“中非人文交流年”开幕式在位于埃塞俄比亚首都亚的斯亚贝巴的非盟总部举行。开幕式上宣读了习近平主席的贺信，200多位在座嘉宾边听边记。贺信宣读完毕，全场响起热烈掌声。
