板厂峪景区位于海港区北部，是中国长城文化中兼具历史、建筑、地质三重特点的活态标本。这里植被良好，景色宜人，常有云海景观出现。云海出现时，站在高处眺望，山岭在茫茫云雾中若隐若现，巍峨长城犹如巨龙，蜿蜒于崇山峻岭之上，蔚为壮观，令人称奇。
